Terms and Conditions
These website terms explain the basic conditions for using Val'Utility's website and digital vehicle warranty protection journey.
Use of the website
The website is provided for product information, application, Subscription Fee assessment, payment, booking, and support purposes. Users must provide accurate information and may not misuse the website or attempt to interfere with its operation.
Product information
Product descriptions, pricing, and onboarding steps are provided for Val'Utility vehicle warranty protection and may be updated from time to time. Any final product terms, eligibility rules, and activation requirements apply in addition to these website terms.
Subscription and cancellation
The subscription is month-to-month without a long-term lock-in. You may cancel at any time by recorded notice, without a cancellation penalty, minimum subscription commitment or technology cost recovery charge. Cancellation takes effect on your requested date, including immediately, and Val'Utility will confirm it in writing. Fees properly due before that date remain payable, subject to applicable law; prepaid unused amounts are handled as the law requires. See the Cancellation Policy for how to give notice.
Failed payments and the arrears remedy period
If a collection fails, Val'Utility may retry on the nearest available authorised run and, if still unpaid, propose collecting the outstanding Subscription Fee with the next Subscription Fee on the recurring date, subject to your mandate and applicable rules. You will be notified of the failure, proposed retry, amount and date. Subject to the payment-error protection below, benefits are suspended from expiry of the Paid-through date while payment is outstanding. You have 30 consecutive calendar days from the unpaid due date to remedy arrears. This is an opportunity to pay, not continued benefit eligibility. Cleared payment before termination restores the Warranty prospectively only; events during the unpaid period do not qualify.
Unremedied arrears
If arrears are not remedied within those 30 calendar days, the subscription terminates. Subject to the payment-error protection below and mandatory law, no benefits apply to events after the last Paid-through date. Failed retries or combined collections do not extend the remedy period or create retrospective eligibility. No unauthorised collection is permitted after cancellation or termination. An otherwise eligible event during a paid period is not invalidated. No separate Valu’Bag savings balance survives lapse or cancellation.
Payment-error protection
An error or delay attributable to Val'Utility or its payment processor must not by itself cause suspension, termination, loss of Warranty Benefits or an adverse Paid-through date where you supplied correct banking details and a valid mandate, had sufficient funds available when due and otherwise met your payment obligations. Val'Utility will investigate, correct the error, notify you and allow a reasonable opportunity to complete any payment still due. This does not waive a Subscription Fee properly payable.
Subscribing again after cancellation or termination
A new subscription requires a new application, verification, payment, installation and activation process. The applicable Application & Verification Fee and first full monthly Subscription Fee must clear before installation is authorised. Any Approved Recovery Technology remaining from the previous subscription must be replaced and cannot be reused to activate the new Warranty. The new Start Date cannot be backdated. These requirements also apply when Val'Utility or an authorised distribution channel approaches you. Correcting an erroneous cancellation or termination under the payment-error protection is not a new application.
Transactional currency
All website transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR).
Card payments
Where card payments are available, Val'Utility accepts card payments through its approved payment service provider. Card information is processed by the payment provider and is not stored by Val'Utility.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be handled through the competent South African courts or applicable South African dispute resolution process.
