# Regulatory Disclosure and Governing Laws

This page sets out the key South African regulatory disclosures for Val'Utility's digital vehicle warranty protection journey.

## Product and provider role

Val'Utility provides a digital journey for vehicle warranty protection, including application, Subscription Fee assessment, payment, booking, and support steps. Product information in the app is provided to help users understand the protection journey and does not replace the final product terms, eligibility rules, activation requirements, or disclosures supplied during onboarding.

## Financial services disclosure

Where the final approved onboarding disclosure identifies a financial services provider, representative, product category, or FSP number, users should verify those details against the final disclosure pack before activating protection.

Val'Utility does not publish unverified licence numbers or regulatory identifiers. Confirmed provider details should be read together with the product terms and customer disclosures supplied during onboarding.

## Governing laws

The website, app journey, payments, privacy notices, and customer communications are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Relevant frameworks may include the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, the Protection of Personal Information Act, the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, and other South African laws that apply to the specific product, payment, data, and customer-support activity.

## Privacy and personal information

Val'Utility processes personal information for defined onboarding, verification, Subscription Fee assessment, payment, booking, support, legal, and operational purposes. Privacy handling is explained in the Privacy Policy and POPIA Notice linked from the app footer.

## Payments and transactional currency

Payments are processed in South African Rand (ZAR) through the approved payment service provider. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by Val'Utility.

## Complaints and regulatory escalation

Product, onboarding, payment, or support complaints should first be sent to Val'Utility through the contact details on the Contact Us page so the matter can be logged and handled.

Where a complaint relates to regulated financial services, users may also verify the applicable provider details with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority. Privacy complaints may be escalated to the Information Regulator where applicable under POPIA.
